12" Block finished for swap

Well I have finished my 12" block for Larain who wanted yellow and white only. I must admit I found this harder than I thought because all the pretty yellow fabrics I have are not only yellow and white but incorporate some other colour. I ended up using a spot with a white on white and I love how bright it is. I must keep this colour combination in mind for the future - maybe a cheerful baby quilt?
Now that I have finished this block and the card trick blocks I just need to wait for details of the Christmas block swap and the fat quarter swap I have joined. Meanwhile there is no excuse for me to get on with my UFO's (pardon me my PHD's)! I think I should complete Lily's quilt first as she is now about four months old and if I leave it any longer I will have to make her a single bed quilt!
I now just have to figure out how to post a photo of these blocks onto the blog for the swap group. Until next time - keep safe and happy quilting.
